After The Arctic

Tania Dibbs is a contemporary artist based in Basalt, Colorado working from a studio in the Roaring Fork Valley near Aspen. In 2016 she went to the Arctic Circle as part of the Arctic Circle Residency. There was not much to do in the dim northern light on a boat except doodle with pencil on paper. The resulting work referenced bubbles in the ice, cracks, time, nature and physics, and spawned an ongoing and ever-evolving body of abstract drawing-based works.
