Current Sculptures

Tania Dibbs is a contemporary artist based in Basalt, Colorado working from a studio in the Roaring Fork Valley near Aspen. Her sculptures trace the jagged intersection of nature, humanity, and culture, using found materials, resin, beads, jewels, and fragments of the overlooked. The pieces quietly confront a culture built on disposability and excess. Nature persists, adapting, morphing and continuing. In some works an excessive ornament coats the surface, even as something more elemental continues. The surfaces lean into an exaggerated glamour, reflecting a culture obsessed with shine and spectacle—where excess is an indicator that becomes its own language.
