ANTHROPOCENE

Tania Dibbs Anthropocene paintings are contemporary landscapes that explore humanity's complicated and evolving relationship with nature. Moving between abstraction and representation, these works examine the tension between natural systems and human intervention. Tania studied biology as an undergraduate and retains a lasting curiosity about science and the natural world. “Anthropocene” refers to our current geological era which is shaped by human influence. The overlays celebrate human ingenuity and the remarkable, inventive structures we create, while also acknowledging how our practices reshape, alter and distance us from the natural world.
